What's never recorded

• Anything visitors type into forms: it's always masked, whatever you set.
• Images, fonts and canvases aren't captured: replays load pictures from your site when it can be reached.
• Who a visitor is, unless your site says so (see Who the visitor is).

Leaving parts of a page out

Add a class to any element:

For pages full of personal details (accounts, orders), turn on Mask all text in your site's recording settings: every piece of text is replaced with asterisks.

Which visits are recorded

You choose the share of sessions to record, per site. A recorded session is recorded on every page. Visits with no interaction that end within 10 seconds are never stored.

How long it's kept

Each site chooses how long recordings are kept, up to its plan's limit: 30 days on Free, 13 months on Growth and Scale. After that they're deleted, everywhere. Data is stored in the EU.

Erasing a visitor

For a deletion request, open any of the visitor's recordings and choose Delete this visitor's data. It erases their recordings, visits and events on every device identified as theirs, and turns off links to their recordings.
